Welcome to Fine Art By Bob Phelps, where you’ll find stunning, photorealistic art created through a unique and time-consuming subtractive carbon pencil technique, as well as Oil compositions on canvas. I begin with a completely blank illustration board and use a crushed carbon pencil lead to darken the whole board, painstakingly erase sections until the final piece emerges, looking as realistic as a photograph. I take the same initiative with my Oil Paintings. I have been working with this method for years, and each piece is a reflection of my passion for creating art.
